How to fight the porn ban in India

In August 2015 Indian’s government banned 857 porn sites. They recalled this decision after the protests.

At the end of October 2018, the government instructed the internet providers to ban these sites again. The ban was ordered by the Uttarakhand High Court after the rape case that was supposedly committed after watching porn.

There was a backlash on social media. People were calling for better sex education and not a complete ban. And we couldn’t agree more.

So how to get around the porn ban and watch whatever you want?

You have to use VPN.

VPN or Virtual Private Network, in short, helps you to hide the country that you are connected to the Internet from and gives you some other. So even if you are in India, your browser will think that you are in fact in Canada.

Here you have some options you can use on your computer or mobile phone.

Before we start, I would like to point that changing the DNS is not working on the ban.

VPN Hub (available on Google play and iOs app store)
Hola (for PCs)
Opera Mini (available on Google play)
UC Browser (available on Google play and iOs app store)
Pure VPN – the best and the cheapest paid VPN

What else can you do to help this fight? Show your opinion! Post on social media, write to the politicians, make some protests.
